As the layers of the soft white shell dissipate, I became fascinated by one single skin.
How incredible the design, in your hand solid and firm as a whole. The color opaque.
But separated from the whole so utterly delicate. How intricate this pattern of a composition of all the layers of this gold leaf like substance. What did it take to create this orb of white?
I have looked at it my whole life, but now I’m in awe that it’s nature is not far from mine. Within this one lifetime to only pay a little attention each day to the one of the many layers very much like this gift from nature.
Using it so frequently perhaps to see it just once a little more clearly.
This object in question is an onion.
Within your lifetime to celebrate even one of your multifaceted layers is worthy of you being here.
