I Breathe You In

I breathe you in.
This very dense air, breathing you in
From way over there.

Such power and finesse, ancient winds
Where souls coalesce.

Love’s fire fuels this myrrh and frankincense.
Sensitize olfactory sense.

Past labels or pretense enduring one
Reveals from where
This odyssey commences.

Embraced by a flame,
Consumed in your name.

This magnificent bird flies homeward now,
To the purest scent.
