My Faceless Face

There are ultimately two choices in life: to fight it or to embrace it.
If you fight it you will lose – if you embrace it you become one with it and you’ll be lived.

Fought I have.
Struggled and resisted.
For this I am grateful.

My heart would not let me rest.
Onwards into the abyss.
Yes, fraught with uncertainty
And duress, definitely.

Forces pulling and pushing.
Rage and depression felt
At the height of their fire.
Burned.

Not going to fit in.
Never did.
Never will.

What an incredible tug of war.
Yes conflict means
I’m still living.

Never surrender.
Never quit.
Never give up.

There is a warrior here.
This heart of mine
Wants the very best.

Life itself has made manifest.
Yearning matched
By a gift so precious.

The master alchemist
Forged with love
An endless mirror.

Within my heart of hearts
Forever here.
Just like the sun
Shining a light
To bring to life
My soul’s deepest delight.

Yes I get distracted.
Yes I do forget.
Yes I am vulnerable.

How else could it be?
This life most precious inside
Off limits to anyone else.

For in all the universe
No more a unique space
Than the depths from which
I can see my faceless face.

  1. ….the best I’ve read from you yet
… it is the second piece I have read in the span of 10 minutes which is exactly what I needed to hear at this moment in time … Thank you my friend!
    Yes never surrender
    But flow with the
    Current-it’s all
    the Same in
    the End
