Little Things

Listening to The Silence…
It’s a good day to see the beauty in the little things: a ray of light,
a gentle breath, a smile…

What is life?

The compilation of the little things.
Atoms.
Molecules.
Cells.

How much recognition
Do they ask?

Seconds.
Fragments.
Innocuous moments.

Fashioning.
Forming.
Culminating.

Awareness.

At first none.
Slowly like a flower
Blossoming.

To what extent?
Depends on the one.

An entire lifetime
Without an ounce of gratitude
Still given all the attention
Worthy of an emperor.

Kindness you ask?
Time the length of which
Could bring you to your knees.

If on the galactic clock
You would see where
Your ship has docked,

Treasures are there.
Secrets beyond compare.
This tapestry
Of dust in symphonic rhapsody

Playing to a beat
In infinity
Has for a time being
Allowed you to play your tune.

Simple little notes
So much preparation
To allow a being
The ultimate gratification.

Exquisite simplicity.
One breath.
Just one,

Can unhinge a heart.
Set it ablaze
Consumed in a fire
Immortal
Ecstatic
Complete.
Eternity indeed.

No certificate
No drama.
Know. And there will be no more no.

Then this great yes
Can enliven this filament
To feel fulfillment.

Erased
After a lifetime
As if you were never here.
Look around it happens
In little moments.

Then understand
And grasp
The little that’s here
Is not little at all.

In this little breath
Lies my everything.
For without it,
I am nothing at all.
